Game Basics
TileSwappy is a daily puzzle game where you rotate and swap gradient tiles to match adjacent edges:
- Click two seperate tiles to swap their positions
- Click and drag tiles to the left or right to rotate it 90 degrees clockwise
- Match all edges - when adjacent tiles have matching gradient colors, you've solved the puzzle!
- New puzzles daily - a fresh puzzle is available each day at midnight

Q: Do I need to create an account?
A: No! TileSwappy works without any login or registration. Just tap "Touch to Start" and play immediately. Your progress is saved locally on your device.
Q: How does the streak system work?
A: Complete a puzzle each day to maintain your streak. Your current streak and longest streak are tracked automatically. Miss a day and your streak resets, but you can always start a new one!
Q: Can I play previous puzzles?
A: Yes! Use the calendar icon to browse and play puzzles from the past 7 days. Completing past puzzles counts toward your statistics but won't restore a broken streak.
Q: What are the stars on the calendar?
A: Gold stars (â) indicate puzzles you've completed. The calendar shows your progress and current streak status for the past week.
Q: Why did I lose my progress?
A: Your game data is stored in your browser's local storage. Progress can be lost if you:
- Clear your browser data/cache
- Use incognito/private browsing mode
- Switch browsers or devices
- Uninstall and reinstall the app
Q: Does TileSwappy work offline?
A: Once a puzzle loads, you can complete it offline. However, you'll need an internet connection to load new puzzles and see advertisements.
Q: Is TileSwappy free?
A: Yes! TileSwappy is completely free to play with all features unlocked. We show ads to support development and keep the game free for everyone.
Q: Can I play on multiple devices?
A: Each device maintains its own separate progress since data is stored locally. There's currently no way to sync progress between devices.
Q: What are the statistics tracking?
A: Your stats page shows:
- Total puzzles completed
- Current streak (consecutive days)
- Longest streak achieved
- Average solve time
- Performance by difficulty level
đ§ Troubleshooting
Game Won't Load
- Check your internet connection
- Try refreshing the page (F5 or Cmd+R)
- Clear your browser cache and reload
- Try a different browser
- Disable browser extensions that might interfere (ad blockers, etc.)
Tiles Won't Move or Rotate
- Make sure you're tapping directly on the tile (not between tiles)
- For swapping, press and hold, then drag to the target tile
- Try refreshing the page if controls become unresponsive
- On mobile, ensure you're not accidentally triggering page scroll
Statistics Not Updating
- Make sure you completed the puzzle (all edges match)
- Check that browser storage isn't disabled in your settings
- Avoid playing in incognito/private mode
- Ensure you have enough storage space on your device
Calendar Not Showing Past Puzzles
- Refresh the page to load the latest puzzle data
- Puzzles are only available for the past 7 days
- Future dates won't show puzzles (they're not created yet!)
- Check your device's date/time settings
Ads Not Displaying
- Ads support our free service - please consider disabling ad blockers
- Some privacy extensions may block ads automatically
- Refresh the page if ads don't load initially
- Ads may take a few seconds to appear
